Laser eye surgery risk is real. Let’s get that straight “right off the bat.” However, the risk factor is not high, in fact it’s extremely low but if you are thinking of laser eye procedure then you need to know that there are risks involved no matter how small.

When you go through the initial pre-screening with your surgeon these risks will be pointed out to you and if they are not then you may want to consider looking for another surgeon. Pre-screening is for the benefit of both yourself and the laser eye surgeon.

It’s done to establish whether you are a good candidate for laser eye surgery and more importantly, to establish whether you have any health issues which may increase the risks to you when you undergo surgery. (more…)

Laser eye surgery side effects are real despite the claims that it is one of the safest procedures where surgery is involved. The truth is, it’s very safe but because it’s surgery there are certain risks involved and you need to be aware of this if you’re considering going under the laser.

One of the most important things when doing your due diligence with laser eye surgery is to take the pre-screening process seriously. Your surgeon will want to determine whether you actually are suitable for surgery before making the decision to accept you as a patient but there needs to be honesty from you during this process.
